The intersectionalities between land and labour, urban modernity and interactivity and globalised trade with virtual connectivity can be reimagined as highly desired elemental spaces; the land, sky, and sea. What are the intricacies resulting from a convoluted, highly desired global network?

About the project

Lonely Vectors exhibits artworks and commissions that draw attention to the uneven distribution as a result of fault lines, choke points, exclusive zonings and infrastructural politics that shape the global economy. The museum wanted an accompanying data visualisation which helps to translate key global events of the intricate global network, as well as explores the effects of these networks.

The challenge

The map and infographic had to be adapted for publishing on two mediums; a printed exhibition catalogue and a 8m by 2m wall vinyl. The proposed data also needed to be condensed and summarised for the static print mediums as well as for reading accessibility.

Our creative solution

We art directed the illustrated map and infographic, with vectored drawings of the map cable lines, country charts, and other infographics. We also contributed to the data research and copywriting.
